Day 371

Baseball night tonight...YIPPIE! I let Josh and Samantha go to the concession stand with a few dollars. Samantha came back with a blue ring pop. Her teeth now (or then) match her eyes. :)

Next...for the real excitement of the night...well other than the boys killing the other team so bad that the outfield (Caleb) got to play the infield. SNAKES!!!!!! Seriously, more than one! Josh, Hannah, and a few other kids were playing in an area behind the field for a while. I looked up and saw all the kids (Josh holding Hannah) come running frantically. Josh said there was a big black snake. A man went over there and looked at it. He decided it was too big to mess with. So we keep the kids away from there obviously. Caleb plays right field and is usually standing up against the fence. Tonight he decided he wanted to be closer to the infield and was only a few feet away from the first baseman. Good thing! One of the parents was standing along the fence and there was a snake on the field. The coach chased it off. They got one play off and then discovered another snake a few feet from where the other was. Both within feet from where Caleb should have been standing!!!! This time the coach picked it up and chunked it, while we were still keeping an eye on the one that got chased off. I don't know if the other team was oblivious or what because they didn't seem to pay any attention, but our coaches walked the outfield a few times during the game to make sure there weren't anymore. Here is a pic of one of the snakes before it went on to an unoccupied field.

Oh yeah! I am working on a blog post for my other blog about fun free or discounted things to do this summer. It is just very late tonight. :)
