Day 932

I took a picture of this today! My sticker makes me smile. It feels like I have actually accomplished something not everyone else can do!

Day 929

I received my finisher certificate by email today.

Day 927

This is shortly after I finished my first full marathon. Click here for the full marathon story.

Day 926

Today was a Saturday...the day before my first full MARATHON! I don't have a photo for this day. :( It rained all night long, and I forgot to close the sunroof in my car. The water was not a welcome surprise in my car considering I was heading to pick up my friend and drive to San Antonio. It was so nice to drive that distance with a friend. We talked and talked the whole way! Probably too much, since we arrive much faster than we should have.

Day 916

Here is another old photo. This one is from 2003. Hannah loves this photo and is always carrying it around. She doesn't understand that she is NOT in this photo and will argue with me over it. This was taken Mother's day weekend at Sea World. I was pregnant with Caleb and had just gotten off of 8 weeks bed rest. I didn't exactly ease into unrestricted activity did I? Samantha is the cutie in the stroller. Josh is the little guy. Hard to believe that he is now almost as tall as me!!!!

Day 915

I forgot to take a picture today (11/2), so I found an old photo to scan. These are 2 of my senior photos.

Day 913

Happy Halloween! Josh was Elvis. Caleb was a Ghostbuster. Samantha was a schoolgirl witch. Hannah was Sleeping Beauty. We went over to dad and Janie's this year. The kids always LOVE going there for Halloween. We all went around their street. Then Hannah and I went back to the house, while Marc took the big kids all over the neighborhood. They came back with tons of candy. I was surprised, because they came back with BIG candy bars...a lot of them. They had a blast!

I threw together a doctor outfit from things I had around the house.

Day 870

This is just wrong on so many levels!!!! What are you looking at? This is a photo of my feet next to my 11 year old son's feet! You are not imagining things...they ARE the same size! Before you go thinking that this is a normal thing that all kids go through, I want you to understand that I do NOT have small feet. I out grew my mom's feet somewhere in the 4th or 5th grade. I remember jumping 2 sizes virtually overnight. No lie! I went to bed and woke up the next morning, and NONE of my shoes would fit. My foot is now a 9.5 wide. If I can't find WIDE, then I have to go up to a 10. My son is about to pass up my monster feet!
Here is a better look!
Before you start thinking GROSS, I can't believe you posted feet. I want you to understand that I have foot issues. I can NOT stand feet. I like little baby feet, but big kid and adult feet seriously gross me out. I was only able to manage this photo, because I was in shock!

Day 869

How is this for Friday picture? I was getting dressed and caught my eyes in the mirror. I was confused because they didn't look their usual green. They don't really look green in this photo either.... What do you think?

Day 840

***oops, this is supposed to be day 841.

This summer it seemed like everytime I went grocery shopping it rained! Today was no exception!!! I managed to get the stuff loaded IN the car at the store before the downpour started....not so lucky when I got home! I was SOAKED!!! The funny part...for other people, not me was that I was drier after this downpour  than the one the next day!!!! Yes, I got soaked TWO days in a row!!!

Day 838

Lame picture I know, but it is a picture nonetheless. This is my favorite thing at the gym! I love using the medicine ball for ab work.

Day 819

What can I say? It is Monday and I forgot to take a picture. I went digging around and came across this picture. This was taken in July 1999. That is me holding Josh...duh. We are at Granny Verna's 81st birthday party. There is a little person on the other side of me. That was Cody. He was out there showing me around. I am pretty sure he had some kind of treats for the cows too. Before you go all ..."are you crazy" on me, there is an electric fence between us and that thing! LOL Over the years this became one of Josh's favorite memories. It was a great thing to share because I have fond memories of doing the exact same thing as a kid.

Day 646

Gotta love my new glasses!!!! LOL Not really, but I did have to wear them for a while. Go figure....the day I need to get my eyes dilated is one of the only days of SUN we have had this year. My eyes are fine. My prescription changed a little in one eye, so I have a Rx for new glasses, but I am going to get fitted for contacts first. Being a fairly new glasses wearer, I just can't get used to them and rarely wear them--only when driving, and events like the hockey game where I couldn't see the action without them.

Day 616

We are finishers!!!!!

Josh and Samantha did the EP5K this year. I am so proud of them! Samantha beat Josh too!
Samantha's time-35:18
Joshua's time-37:21
Upon getting her medal, Samantha looks at it--it says EP5K fun run---She asked, "why do they call it a FUN run? It was NOT fun!" She wants to run the half next year....
I am also a finisher---13.1 miles. :) I was unsure going in because my legs were so messed up. Just a few days before running .5 a mile caused me great pain. I managed to get a better time than I expected. My time was 2:24:52...my original healthy leg goal was 2:20 and I believe I could have easily done it if I wasn't already in so much pain. After mile 7 I had to stop and stretch my calves about twice per mile. After the race I also realized I pulled something in my hamstring....ouch! Oh well....I am ready to do it again!

Day 612

It is "retro week" on facebook. You are supposed to find an old photo of yourself and set it as your profile picture. This was mine. I am pretty sure I was 9 here...in 4th grade.
