Day 56

Well, I didn't think I was going to get to post because our internet company is having issues for the next "24-48 hours". Some people chose not to secure their networks though, so here I am! Our a/c also went out tonight....UGH Anyway, JOSH CAME HOME TODAY!!!! He had a great time, but said he got a little homesick. Hannah was so happy to see her "Osh" Oh yeah! Caleb and I got our hair cut today. Mine will be another day, but here is a pic of Caleb. I know it doesn't look shorter. Recently, his hair has gotten curly , just not the top layer. I had the top trimmed pretty short and just little bits of the curls trimmed.

Day 55

Today we picked up our shirts for the Houston Project. It starts in 8 days! I can't wait. Josh's shirt is the one on top of the stroller.

Day 54

I am putting in a picture of Caleb and Hannah playing with bubbles from yesterday...it was just too cute. My other picture is of Hannah being a ham. Samantha is at a friends house playing, so Caleb and Hannah are glued to Disney Channel. I will post a pic of Hannah in the tv trance and then what she did when she saw the camera.

Day 53

We just got Josh dropped off for camp. Josh was excited. Samantha was mad (she wants to go). Caleb was bored after a while. Hannah was tired. I have a picture of the boys goofing off while waiting for Meema to bring a pillow (we forgot one). The other is of Josh getting on the bus. Of course I have a million more, including Samantha's mad face and Caleb really frustrated. LOL

Day 52

I have a hard choice today. The kids went to Grandpa and Mimi's house while I went to the hospital for Marc's surgury. I took some pictures of the kids when I got back. Then the kids each wanted to take a picture. Caleb even took a really good one. So instead of putting up the ones I took I will put theirs. The first one with me and Josh, Samantha took. Caleb took the next one and Josh took the last one. I was looking down at Hannah who was running to me with a HUGE grin on her face in the last one.

Day 51

The joy of summer....grocery shopping with 4 kids! Josh is not in the picture because he was reading cereal boxes. I told them if sugar was one of the first few ingredients they can't have it. Well, he is my indecisive child.

Day 50

Well, we made it to the waterpark only to have to leave because of the storms. I got pictures of the girls and took pictures of the boys. My camera must have been tired because the pics of the boys ended up being just water since I was walking around while taking them. They did get to play for about 20 minutes. Hannah loved the water only if she was being held. She squealed and laughed at the boys and Samantha, but wanted no part of being put down. I kind of figured that, but Josh and Samantha really wanted her to be there. MY plan was to put her in child watch so I could just sit and watch them all play. So, here are my girls.

Day 49

My little C is sick. Of course it means we are stuck at home. He did muster up a smile for his picture though.

Day 47

Samantha saved up her money for 6 weeks to buy rollerblades. She finally got them yesterday, so we went skating today. You will get to see the 3 of them skating. Samantha freaked out because she doesn't want to be near a dead frog; then the aftermath of the crash between her and Josh trying to avoid the frog. Oh and yes, Caleb is STILL in his pajamas. LOL We didn't get to skate long though because it started to lightening.

Day 46

I got an early picture today! Have I mentioned how much I LOVE my bed? I am lucky that Marc is able to get discounted beds for us! Apparently, Hannah loves my bed too. She decided she wanted in my bed and did NOT want to get up this morning! She sprawls out to take up as much space as she can. When she needs some love, she decides sleeping on top of me is a good way to get it. LOL

Day 45

Gosh it is so hard to decide today! I might have to do a picture overload. After the rain finally stopped I had to go in the garage and go "shopping" for new clothes for Hannah (aka Samantha's baby stuff). My favorite and last picture taken is one of Hannah jumping rope. She watched Josh do it and copied him. She jumped and moved her arms; she didn't get the rope to go around though. There will be one of them playing basketball and skateboarding. Also one of Samantha using a piece of ice to cool off her face and one of Hannah telling Caleb to get away from her baby stroller.

Day 43

The first picture of the day is my view from the hammock. After the kids go to bed, this is where I go to "Be Still". As the sun goes down the houses start to cool down, so the hum of the a/c's goes away. From my hammock I am reminded of my childhood visits to the country. We used to go in the summer and the noise of the bugs was so loud! I grew up inner city, so the noise I got was traffic from I-45. The first time I looked up and saw the stars I was amazed! How can someone not believe in God? Tonight I could hear the ice cream truck; a favorite sound of summer...even winter in SE Texas! I heard so many different types of birds, frogs, crickets, and who knows what else kind of bugs! That is my "be still"moment, God is in it all! Tonight there was even a slight summer breeze which made the leaves move...just awesome! I don't stay long enough for the stars. The bats come out and when they start dipping too low, I go in. This city girl is terrified of bats! Please take the time to "Be still and know he is God!" If I can do it in the heat of southeast Texas swatting mosquitoes, you can too!

The next picture is of Josh pointing at the squash flowers and pumpkin flowers in his garden. He had already had a bath and wanted to wear one of his daddy's shirts to bed tonight.

Day 42

Today for some reason I only managed to get pictures of Hannah. The first one is of her playing in the front yard. She saw the balls I was playing with last night and got all excited. The next one is one of my favorite times of the day. Not just because it means "me" time, but because she just looks so sweet when she is ready to go to sleep.

Day 41

Happy Father's Day to all the dads! The first picture is at Marc's store. The kids brought his gifts to him there. The next picture is Hannah and I in the library after church.

Day 40

Today is a lazy day at home after a super busy week. Caleb waited a long time for his turn on the computer.

Day 39

VBS is over! Today was the last day. We celebrated with a trip to Discovery Green. The kids had a BLAST. The "extra" girl in the picture is our neighbor (Samantha's friend), Baylee.

Day 38

You get to see what an exhausted mom looks like. Then you get to see what the tired mom gave her tired baby for lunch today. BTW Hannah is just now waking up from the car ride home. We left church at 12:25 and it is now 3:30. Then again, she was up and ready to go at 5:00 this morning.

Day 37

WOOHOOOOO!!!! More traffic. ;) The other pic was taken after our VBS day. We were getting ready to leave. Hannah was in a mood and ran away screaming, so she is not in the picture. It has Caleb, Josh, Samantha and our neighbor (Samantha's friend), Baylee.
