Day 921

Family Math Night
Nachos and Numbers
Trimathalon

Those were the names given this night. We went to the elementary school for math games and nachos. The big door prize was a bike, so despite being sick, I HAD to go! We didn't win the bike.... Here is my beautiful Samantha!

Day 920

Hannah coloring her favorite thing (princesses) with her favorite color (pink).

Day 919

Our  church is in the middle of renovating the preschool suite. Way back in August 2008 we got to write the names of loved ones on the floor of the under construction sanctuary. These names are prayed over, so that they  may one day come to know Christ. Samantha's name is there, and I was able to show her the location where I wrote her name after she was saved. Today we got the opportunity to write names of children on the floor of the preschool suite. These children...future leaders, will be prayed for. The kids got to put handprints on the floor, and I wrote their names under their hands. Samantha also wrote the names of some of her friends.

Foundation of Prayer

Day 918

Today was Samantha's last soccer game...followed by the end of season party. Samantha's friend Landry came to the game. Samantha was so excited she got to come. Landry's brother, Carter, and Hannah watched a movie on my phone most of the time. It was cute. I wish I would have gotten a picture of them sitting next to each other in the chair!

Here is a photo of Landry and Hannah
After the game, we headed over to the park for the party. Hannah had way too much fun on this "pony"!
The girls were excited about the cake!
The coach said a few words about Samantha when she got her trophy.
The whole team
My beautiful soccer star!

Day 917

Josh from December 2000!

Day 916

Here is another old photo. This one is from 2003. Hannah loves this photo and is always carrying it around. She doesn't understand that she is NOT in this photo and will argue with me over it. This was taken Mother's day weekend at Sea World. I was pregnant with Caleb and had just gotten off of 8 weeks bed rest. I didn't exactly ease into unrestricted activity did I? Samantha is the cutie in the stroller. Josh is the little guy. Hard to believe that he is now almost as tall as me!!!!

Day 915

I forgot to take a picture today (11/2), so I found an old photo to scan. These are 2 of my senior photos.

Day 914

Some of Caleb's loot. He ended up with 3 of these big butterfingers!

Day 913

Happy Halloween! Josh was Elvis. Caleb was a Ghostbuster. Samantha was a schoolgirl witch. Hannah was Sleeping Beauty. We went over to dad and Janie's this year. The kids always LOVE going there for Halloween. We all went around their street. Then Hannah and I went back to the house, while Marc took the big kids all over the neighborhood. They came back with tons of candy. I was surprised, because they came back with BIG candy bars...a lot of them. They had a blast!

I threw together a doctor outfit from things I had around the house.

Day 912

Picture day for soccer was the weekend we were out of town. We missed it, but there was a problem with the photographers memory card. The group pictures didn't turn out, SO I got to take my own group picture of the team. Samantha is the only 4th grader in that group of girls!
Samantha was a GREAT defense player!

Day 911

Hannah got to trick-or-treat at the Y today! She was super excited to get to wear her "beauty"! All I had to do was check her into childwatch, and they took all the kids around while the parents worked out. I chose to not run outside, so I could watch. She was so cute!

Day 910

Hannah got so excited to see her lunch today. She had triangles, a square, and a diamond! Who knew something so little could make her so happy?

Day 909

Yes, it is the END of October and still in the 90's....

Day 908

October 26 and my family is swimming! Sure they are crazy, BUT the water was not cold! It has been that hot!

Day 907

Happy 13th Anniversary! Marc came home with these!

Today I spent some time playing with my camera. I discovered some new pretty cool things about it. I even managed to turn those beautiful red roses yellow in a photo! Here are a few of the other fun photos.
My intention with this one was to get Samantha's blue eyes. They didn't come out right though.

10/25

Day 906

No photo today, so another somewhat oldie. This is Caleb on his 3rd birthday! Why is he not wearing any clothes??? I don't know! I think it was because his skin was very irritated. Hard to believe he was that small. Then again...I can't believe how THICK that boy has always been! Time flies! Hannah is older than that now.

Day 905

This is a hot, dirty, and sweaty Samantha. I have always loved her eyes! When she gets hot, and her face turns pink, it makes the blue in her eyes so bright. They are so bright, they are almost piercing! The expression in this photo is thanks to her younger brother. If you look closely, you can see part of his shoe on the bottom left. He kept trying to block the camera. I have a lot of photos of his shoe before this picture.

Day 904

I did not have a picture from this day. What did I do? My mom and Donnie came over. Donnie drove Samantha to her piano lesson. Mom stayed with Caleb and Hannah. I took Josh to church for a 6th grade retreat. Then I stayed at church to record the Christmas cd.

Since I don't have a picture, I found and OLD picture. Can you guess this kid? This photo is from the fall of 2004. Josh is so little here! It is hard to believe that this is Josh!

Day 903

Thursday, October 21-

Soccer practice...This is what you get when the "wild child" is down sick. He was out of it the whole time. Hannah undisturbed by  her fun-loving brother slept the whole time.

Day 902

Wednesday, October 20-

Today the High 5 kids choir recorded their part for our Christmas cd.

Day 901

Samantha is making me an "awesome mom" picture. I don't remember why, but I must have done something nice. She likes to make me cards, pictures and notes when I do things she likes. She also likes to write notes when I do things she doesn't like...

Praise the Lord I have a child who feels ok to share her feelings with me, even when I don't like getting those notes.

Day 900

Have you ever lost one of your kids in the house? That happened to me today. I was doing laundry, groceries, or whatever needed to be done thanks to our weekend away. I could hear Hannah playing, then all of  a sudden it was quiet. I figured she must have fallen asleep, so I didn't immediately go look for her. Of course when I did, it didn't take long for me to worry. I knew she was not outside because all of the doors were still locked. She was not in or under any of the beds. She wasn't in the bathrooms. I looked in all of her hiding places...and then some. Then I saw a little elbow. She had been playing in the suitcase and fell asleep.

Day 899

Day 2 at the family reunion-
There will be more photos and a story in the other blog later. If you read about the stripe photo challenge already, I want you to notice the amount of striped shirts at the family reunion...from BOTH days. It really is funny! The pictures from the Falls on the Brazos will also be in the other blog later.

This is my brother Donnie
Caleb spent a lot of time riding this bike.
We spent a lot of time playing football too.
Carson had fun with the chalk.
I was worried about Samantha's hair getting caught in the wheels...among other things.
Baby girl LOVES to swing!
The teenagers spent a lot of time hanging out in and around the tree.
I have NO idea what was so funny!
I don't know how this girl can get so dirty!
Donnie and James
A group of people...I don't know all of them.
I like this photo of Jackson
She was trying to hide from the camera.

Samantha won some silly string AND a snuggie in the drawing. She was happy...can you tell?
Hannah won the princess set. She was beyond thrilled!
