Day 117

Why are my girls playing in the closet??? Because they can, I guess. I know I have mentioned that my girls love dogs. Hannah is trying to decide which dog she wants to play with while Samantha has a tea party complete with eggs.

Day 116

I am beat! I have spent HOURS cleaning and organizing Samantha's room. There is a before picture and an after picture. The before does not paint an accurate picture! That was also before I dug stuff out from under the bed, crib, dresser, toybox, and closet. At one point Hannah and Caleb had to climb to me if they wanted to talk or ask me something. Of course I also had a HUGE bag of garbage I took out too.

Day 115

My little Bubby has had a busy week. So far he is loving school. It must take a lot out of him because he hasn't napped since he was 2!

Day 114

Today, I intended on getting a better picture. It just didn't work out that way. Tonight was the kick-off of the fall programs at church. It was crazy and more packed than anyone imagined. Caleb, Josh, and Samantha all are in children's choir. They start off in the Clubhouse which is awesome for Caleb since he is still to young to go on Sunday. There are a TON of kids. I was told that 90 were preregistered, but 50 more showed up. Lots of babies too! Marc and I chose to listen to Curtis Jones talk about Elijah. AWESOME. If you don't know who he is...well, I will just say he is Beth Moore's son-in-law. You can check out his wife's blog here. I think we will stick with listening to him. Marc and I sat long enough to watch them run out of food several times. I think chef Paul will have to do a lot of restocking the next few days. By the time the kitchen closed they were serving fish filets and tater tots. A big change from the roasted and fried chicken legs, roasted potatoes, and veggies (plus other stuff) we had. This picture was taken after all the activities, but before we picked up Hannah and Caleb.

Day 113

Today was just one of those days. We had some cute moments when it was just me and Hannah today, but I was out running and didn't have a camera. Late this afternoon Hannah had a new moment. She was hungry and I wasn't getting her food...nowhere near dinner and she had already had a snack. She decided she was going to take care of herself, so she climbed up in her high chair thinking food would magically appear. It of course did. That was a big climb for such a little girl. Truthfully, I don't see how she did it because her seat takes up the whole base of the chair. I looked at her and she smiled as she pushed her hair out of her face, then she just pointed at me.

Day 111

Today was an important day for our church and loved ones. The sanctuary is almost done. Today we got to write the named of unsaved loved ones on the floor. It will be covered with carpet this week. For months and years to come those people and names will be prayed over. Josh is always asking about a certain person and if he has given his life to God yet. Today Josh...my sweet Josh, got to write that name on the floor of the sanctuary today. Of course Marc wrote some names as did I. Now I see how my pants got so much dusty white powder on them. LOL

Day 110

Here is one of Caleb and Hannah being goofy

Hannah got excited when daddy came home. She squealed "DAAAAEEEEE" and ran up to give him a hug.

Have I mentioned that Hannah loves dogs? Stuffed and real. This is one of Caleb's that she snuck off with.

Day 108

We had a home day today. With no phone lines, no DSL and the satellite out most of the day we played games. I had a picture of the kids playing cards, but for some reason the formatting messed up. Instead you get a picture of my back yard and front yard today. I know, I am lame!

Day 107

Today we went to the Health Museum. It was fun. I wish I would have gotten to see more, but keeping up with 5 kids kept me running (we took Samantha's friend Bailee with us). They had a Grossology exhibit that was pretty...gross. Josh's favorite part was guessing the smell. There is a smell and you have to guess if it is mouth, foot, anus, or armpit....YUCK!!! There was a skin climbing wall. Instead of rocks the places to hold onto were hair, pimples, moles...etc. There was also a slide/tunnel. The entrance was the mouth; then they slid down the esophogus into the stomach and climbed out a tunnel...well, you can guess where the tunnel ended...double YUCK!
Here are Hannah and Caleb dancing

Me and Samantha making the thing throw up

Samantha thought it was cool to sit on the teeth.

Joshua is finding out how long intestines are!

Caleb begged to go into this room

Josh made the skeleton ride the bike.

This is the "skin" climbing wall. Believe it or not Caleb was the only one to make it all the way across

Samantha shot "boogers" into the nose and then waited for it to sneeze them out.

This is Samantha at the end of the digestive system tunnel...um...yuck. She just got pooped. LOL

Baylee and Hannah sliding down the esophogus

Hannah decided she didn't want to go out of the stomach into the tunnel.

Caleb inside the nose. GAG ME!!!!

Day 104

Only 20 more days until the new sanctuary at church opens! It has been fun to see the progress. It has also been fun to worship is the CLC, the Fellowship Center, and the Chapel. I will be glad to have the whole congregation back in one space though.
Here is Caleb looking at the progress.
Here is the sanctuary in 1977 when it was brand new!
Here is the kick-off for the capital campaign to fund the project
Here is what Caleb saw.
I couldn't find any pictures of what it is supposed to look like. I did find the original drawings, but they are part of a slide show. To see those CLICK HERE

Day 102

This one is going to be kind of long today. I went and picked up Josh from camp. The camp he went to is called Camp Dermadillo. The camp is put on by the American Academy of Dermatology. It is for kids who have some sort of skin condition. As many on you know, Josh has severe eczema. He was referred to the camp by his doctor. It is not a camp that you can just sign your kid up for. For the first time Josh got to realize that there are people other than him and his brother that have skin disorders. Even his counselor had one! The camp is held at The June Rusche Hamrah Camp for All. This campsite if designed for special needs kids, so they can experience summer camp. They host many different special needs groups. If you have a child with any special needs I would highly recommend checking out this camp! Anyway, I had to get up early so I could drive through the Hill Country and be at the camp by 8:30am! Here are some pictures from my drive.

Finally at camp!

Josh was so happy to see me that he jump hugged me. LOL

Then he went and showed me around the camp. I got to see where his cabin was.

He took me to the treehouse, which he said is really a "tree platform".

He introduced me to a friend from his cabin, who lives fairly nearby. They exchanged phone numbers.

This picture amazes me! Sure it looks like a rock wall right? Well it is, but it is more. Do you see the ropes? One is across like a trapeze and then others are hanging down above. Josh was the only one in his group brave enough to walk across it. I am amazed and completely blown away! My knees were getting weak on the tree "platform" while looking down into the {thing}...really not sure what to call it...creek, ravine, deep.... LOL

Here is a picture I felt I needed to take on the way home.

Miss Hannah was HAPPY to have her Josh back!

AND for the funny sign of the day! I think it was in Magnolia or at least around there. I saw a sign for a church. The sign said...
Servanthood Church
A Fellowship of Foolish People
