Day 879

Marc had a rare half-day at work. He got home around 5. The kids were thrilled and scrambled to finish up homework and chores. One of them said, "it is such a beautiful day. We have to ride bikes! Come on daddy!" So, they rode bikes. I had to hurry and get dinner in the oven, so I could go out and watch Hannah. They rode around a little, then they took off around the neighborhood and left Hannah in their dust. Here are some photos from their fun! Obviously, I have more of Hannah since she stayed back with me while the others rode all over. I am also aware of Hannah's bad hair day! She wanted her helmet on so she could ride. She didn't care about her hair and wouldn't let me fix it!

Day 878

This afternoon was 1st Grade Bible Presentation at church. Caleb was so excited about getting a Bible that was only his! I love that our church does this. Here is my little guy waiting patiently for things to get started.
Here is Caleb getting his Bible. He was looking over toward where we were sitting and didn't see me there with the camera. By the time he finally looked over, my camera flash wasn't ready again.
Caleb with his Bible!

Another one of Caleb with his Bible. He does know it is upside down. That is just how he rolls!

Day 877

Here is a rare photo of Sandy! She is freaked out by cameras, so I can't ever get a picture of her.

Day 876

Caleb has quite the collection!

Day 875

Today was picture day at school. I absolutely hate that picture day that picture day is ALWAYS  on a Thursday. We get home late on Wednesday nights. No one wants to get up, and I am sure not washing kids hair at 10 pm OR 6 am! Luckily, this year Caleb did not have cream in his hair, so we didn't have to wash and re-wash like we have had to do in the past. The other bad thing about Thursdays is that Caleb is always broken out. Why? Because we eat dinner at church, and he eats things that I won't feed him at home. Here are some pictures from the bus stop this morning. I wish it was a little brighter outside. Samantha picked out what she wanted to wear (I would have picked something blue to bring out her beautiful blue eyes).

Here is Caleb! This first pose is not a nice pose. His face is not saying "cheese"

Here is a nicer one of Caleb, but he is still not happy about me taking his picture.

Here is Samantha
The girl who waits at the bus stop wanted in on the photos too! Then it started to drizzle outside and the girls ran into the house very fast.....didn't want to mess up their hair!

Day 874

What is it about my kids and mud???? I didn't take a picture today, so I searched for one. I came across this  picture of Hannah stuck in the mud. If you remember about 2 weeks ago, I posted some mud photos of the kids (my all time favorite photo of Caleb is in that set). This picture of Hannah is really clean compared to those others! I do remember this day and she REALLY was stuck there. I can't give you the scientific reason why, but it was not easy  digging her out. She didn't come out with both shoes on either!

Day 873

Today was a long awaited day for Marc and Josh! All you can eat lobster.... The rest of us chose to stay home and miss out on this opportunity. They LOVED it though!

Day 871

This Sunday  was a GOOD day! This is a photo of Caleb sitting right next to me watching the Texans game. He looks intense doesn't he? It was a sloppy game, but a GREAT win! We were pumped!

Day 870

This is just wrong on so many levels!!!! What are you looking at? This is a photo of my feet next to my 11 year old son's feet! You are not imagining things...they ARE the same size! Before you go thinking that this is a normal thing that all kids go through, I want you to understand that I do NOT have small feet. I out grew my mom's feet somewhere in the 4th or 5th grade. I remember jumping 2 sizes virtually overnight. No lie! I went to bed and woke up the next morning, and NONE of my shoes would fit. My foot is now a 9.5 wide. If I can't find WIDE, then I have to go up to a 10. My son is about to pass up my monster feet!
Here is a better look!
Before you start thinking GROSS, I can't believe you posted feet. I want you to understand that I have foot issues. I can NOT stand feet. I like little baby feet, but big kid and adult feet seriously gross me out. I was only able to manage this photo, because I was in shock!

Day 869

How is this for Friday picture? I was getting dressed and caught my eyes in the mirror. I was confused because they didn't look their usual green. They don't really look green in this photo either.... What do you think?

Day 868

Today was an errand day! I had originally planned on a nice short run today, but yesterday took it all out of me. I knew my legs would not carry me for a run today. It is ok though. Hannah and I went to the book fair at the elementary school. I told each kid they could pick ONE book. Caleb was upset because he had his eye on a certain book, but they had already sold out...oops. I was supposed to go yesterday, but I needed a little recovery time before our church activities. He finally picked out a 3D book on the Solar System. Samantha couldn't decide between Ramona and Beezus or a Puppy Place book. She finally settled on the Ramona book. She is NOW having buyers remorse though. LOL She said her friend has that book and would probably let her borrow it. Oh well...we will read it anyway! Hannah looked all over. She only picked up ONE book. She picked it up and went right up to pay. She wanted it and didn't want to wait for Caleb and Samantha to pick anything. If you click on the picture, you will see that this book came with a necklace. The princess on the front cover is wearing it....well, she was wearing it! Now Hannah is wearing the sparkly bow necklace. We had a few errands to run after the book fair. She was not happy! She kept trying to take the bag of books in everywhere. As soon as we got home she got her book and started to "read" it!

Here is Hannah reading her book.
This is Hannah saying, "Look mom! There are lots of princesses!"

Day 867

For some reason I never seem to remember to take a picture on Wednesdays. There are always plenty of opportunities, but I think I am just too busy to think about it. I started off my day with what was supposed to be a 12 mile run. My GPS app didn't map my whole run. I also ended up taking a turn, and the trail didn't take me where I was hoping it would. I ended up doing 13ish miles. I have discovered that my fuel belt with only 4 water bottles is not enough, because I ran out of water with 2 miles to go. I made sure to take it slow those 2 miles. FYI Luke's Locker only has the 4 bottle belts. The 8 bottle belts are on backorder. I came home and recovered just a little before the afternoon activities started. Those would include 2 car rider lines, homework in the car, and traffic. Then we arrive at church for dinner and Kids Choir. After kids choir, I bounce back and forth from adult choir to Gathering singers. All that to say, the ONLY picture I have is of my Wednesday night red shirt. It was taken in the car... just in case you couldn't tell from the seat belt.

Wednesday 8/15

Day 866

Josh needed/wanted a haircut. He doesn't like for me to cut his hair, but was desperate enough to ask me. I had already planned on taking him to the Barber Shop this afternoon. He was happy! This first photo is of the lady trying to brush his hair with all the gel in it. She ended up having to wash it out!
Here is the finished do! He is a happy camper now.

Day 865

Today Hannah dressed herself. She picked out a pretty pink skirt, pink shirt, pink flip flops, and her stuffed kitty. Can you guess what her favorite color is?
This afternoon Hannah had some fun playing dress up. She put on the Supergirl costume and proclaimed herself to be PRINCESS SUPERMAN! I just LOVE it.

Day 864

Marc and Josh skipped church today to go fishing. Normally, Marc has to work on Sunday's, but his boss wanted Marc to go fishing with him, so he gave him the day off. There is a lot I would like to say about that, but I will refrain...and YES Marc it IS a word! Anyway, I am glad Josh and Marc got to spend the day together. They actually caught some fish. These are the photos I snagged off of Marc's phone.

Day 863

Josh has been a little upset about school lately. Samantha got up pretty early for a Saturday and spent most of the morning making this for him. She wanted to help cheer him up. It says, "Josh is awesome." Awesome is one of Josh's favorite words.

Day 862

We had music lessons tonight. Josh lost his school saxophone book, so we stopped at the music store on the way home. I had $20 in my pocket and his book was only $7. Naturally he wanted to spend all $20, so he picked out another book. Then he came home and started playing. In one video he is playing in the dark...I have NO idea why. He thinks it is the best of the 2 I took, so he wanted me to show it. The other video he has the light on. He knew I was there and messed up a little though.

Friday 9/10

Day 861

Another forgotten day! My computer says the next ones are from February 2006. I do remember it being February because one of my northern friends commented on the green grass. These photos just seem older though. I know some of you will remember these. If you don't...well they are hilarious! Caleb HATED getting dirty. He walked out side and somehow got muddy. I don't remember if the dog shook on him or what. It was a total fluke though. He came in crying and I naturally took this picture.
Josh and Samantha thought it looked fun and wanted to get muddy like Caleb....so they did.

I just noticed the cord coming out of the house by Josh's feet. I have this whole thing on video...somewhere!!!! Caleb finally warmed up to the idea of getting muddy. It really did take him a long time though. He did eventually take the muddy plunge.

If you can tell from this picture, he still is a little grossed out by it being on his hands.

Fellow parents and friends...I took a page out of my grandma's book. I stripped them down and hosed them off OUTSIDE before bringing them in for a bath. I used to hate it when grandma made me do that! LOL
Thursday 9/9

Day 860

If you are my facebook friend, then you know ALL about this picture. If you are not my friend you can read about it starting here, then read the next few posts after that one. This is a photo of one of Josh's graded papers.
Wednesday 9/8

Day 859

Marc took a picture of this rainbow at work one day.

Day 858

Samantha wanted to make a bunch of braids in her hair overnight. This is the result. She really thought it was cool. It would probably be easier for me to just buy her a crimper. Anyone remember those???

Day 857

Aren't you glad I took a picture today? HA This is my beautiful Hannah after church one Sunday. Really...YUCK!
Sunday 9/5

Day 856

I didn't take a picture on this Saturday...a few weeks ago. Here is my old picture of the day. This was our Christmas photo for 2005. I think that would make Josh 6, Samantha 4, and Caleb 2. Check out that light blonde STRAIGHT hair!

Day 855

How do you kill 3 hours at Discount Tire with a 3 year old??? Blow bubbles!

Our day was full of waiting! We had our 3 hour wait in the morning followed by an hour wait at music lessons in the afternoon. Hannah chose to wait it out under a table.
