Day 805

Oh my goodness!!!! One of Josh's chores is to take care of the dishes. Tonight....for whatever reason he chose to use Dawn in the dishwasher instead of the Cascade things. I walked in the kitchen to find the floor FULL of bubbles. The dishwasher is also full of bubbles....now what?

The kids do not load the dishwasher the same way as I do. LOL I like everything in nice neat little rows.

Day 804

I LOVE this picture!!! We have been seeing our Chiropractor for almost 3 years. Periodically we take x-rays to check our progress and update our care plan. Today all 5 of us got x-rays! Each person went separately so I wasn't in the room with Josh, Samantha, and Caleb. I did go with Hannah. She is such a BIG girl. She didn't even need me there...she did great!!!!

Today (Sunday 7/25) we had a lunch meeting to go over details of the Galveston Family Mission trip! This photo is our itinerary.

Day 802

Yesterday...Saturday, my brother got his truck STUCK here!!!! One tire was completely covered in the hole that is full of water. I promised him I wouldn't put it on facebook, so I didn't take a picture of the stuck truck....or MY body covered in mud from trying to get it out. My brother has a bent fender from the ordeal, but thankfully my new car came out with only a little mud.

Day 801

This project got finished today!!!! I am getting too old for this! LOL This is the boys room after 2 days of work. You can see the before photos here. The AFTER closet photo is here. The boys didn't want bunk beds anymore...no one wanted to sleep on the top, so now they have two separate beds and a very small room.

Tonight we went to church for a Midsummer Night's Thing. The theme for the little kids had something to do with princesses! Here are my girls in front of the castle!

Today we went to church for the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition(will now be referred to EMHO) pep rally. They are doing a build inside the Houston City Limits!!!!! This photo was taken in front of the KSBJ table while the dj was interviewing Melissa Beach about their experience on EMHO. (The lady in purple is not Melissa Beach, she is just holding the newest baby.) There is still time to help out! The door knock is tomorrow, July 25. Now on to some funny photos. They had mascots from all of our major sporting teams there. This blurry image is Clutch, the Houston Rockets mascot. He had chased Samantha down for a hug...she of course ran to me, so this is what I got...his nose. LOL

This is a producer from EMHO. I can't remember his name, but it was a funny name. Something like Marin, Mavin, Malin, Milan....yeah, I think it was Milan....

Today we had a surprise 40th birthday party for Marc! Do you know how hard it is to keep a surprise party from that man? "I can't get off work"..."I will try to get off early"..."I got off at 2"...."I got scheduled wrong and have to work all day"...."I now have the whole day off"..." I need to go in for a few hours".....sigh

Today we went to a wedding....an outdoor wedding...in July....at 4pm. Well, it was supposed to start at 4, but didn't start until 6.

Today was the last day of Houston Project! I sat down and let the kids lead themselves in the songs. This was AFTER all the bus kids had left, so there are only our church kids in this photo

Marc and Josh left the house around 4am to go fishing today. This is what I woke up next to....love these guys!!!!

Do you remember that I took all electronics away from my kids? They had to actually use their imaginations and play today! It was sooooo nice!!!!

This photo was taken at Houston Project. Samantha and Hannah are both in this picture. They are eating snocones. This is the 3-4 year old class. Samantha is one of the helpers in this class.

Day 790

I can't believe I am posting these, but they are the ONLY pics I have for this day....well, I have Samantha's room too. Let me explain. This is part of what triggered the NO ELECTRONICS in our house. The other part was the constant fighting over video games, Wii, and computer time. All the while neglecting their rooms and chores. I took the pictures because I walked in and said the next time I come back it had to look like something was done. You can see Josh is on the bed while he was already supposed to be cleaning. The ONLY reason you are seeing these pics is so that when you see pics for today (7/22-23)--these are from (7/12) you will see what i have spent 2 days doing. So look and enjoy, laugh, or be mad with me and come back later or tomorrow when I finish getting caught up in the blog.
