Day 26

WOW! I have decided that you "boy" moms deserve a medal!!! We are having Josh's birthday party today. He got to pick 2 friends to see Indiana Jones and to spend the night. What was I thinking???? Here are the boys killing time before the movie.

Day 25

I had some errands to run today and I figured since Caleb and Hannah have been stuck in the house while I have been feeling bad I would take them to the park for a while. They had a BLAST! Hannah did get a little nervous about some of the stuff Caleb was doing because he was trying to drag her with him or should I say show her how to do everything. She had the most fun on the swing, seesaw and slide. Oh and here is one of Hannah before the park while running errands.

Day 24

I have an early picture today. I am still not feeling well and am not sure if I will manage to leave the house today. This is Josh and Samantha waiting on the bus. After today only 5 more days. YAY!!!! I did something this morning that made Samantha mad, but I am not sure what. I think she was mad at me because I wouldn't let her go look at Josh's plants. She wasn't finished getting ready and didn't have enough time.

Day 23

Well, you all know Caleb has energy to burn. He and Marc went out to ride bikes today. He didn't last long because it is really really hot. Caleb loves to play outside though.

Day 22

Another boring day here. HA This is me at church trying to get stuff ready for VBS.

Monday, May 26, 2008

Day 21

Oh man! I took my camera to get pics of what everyone else does while Josh is in guitar practice. I got a lot of good ones of the kids playing and one of Samantha being silly. I even have Caleb giving Hannah rasberries on her tummy, but then Hannah went and crawled up in her daddy's lap. That is my pic! I will include the one of Samantha in silly glasses and go put some in Hannah's blog later though.

Day 20

Another church day. I swear a lot of people go to our church! We just have arrived early the last 2 weeks, that is why there is not a soul behind us...well that and today there was already a service going on. Caleb ran to the elevators first, so he was already in class when these pics were taken. Yes, I said "these"...sorry. Josh really wanted one with him holding Hannah's hand. He is my ever so sensitive child, so I just had to. The next picture is of Samantha and farther away Joshua looking though the cut-out holes into our sanctuary. Our church is in the middle of redoing it completely. They have cut out these holes so we can see the progress. There are kid level holes and adult level holes. The first thing Josh and Samantha do is run over to the area and check out the sign that says how many days, then they look through. Hannah likes to look too, but she was already in class by that point.

Day 19

Dinner time at our house. Doesn't it look so peaceful??? Oh how looks can be deceiving!

Day 18

Sigh...what a day...another long one. It was a day filled with more doctor appts. The first pics are of Caleb protesting having to get his blood drawn. It was a nightmare! They finally called a "child life specialist" in to help. And that was before we even left the dermatologists office! After lots of running, kicking and screaming (Caleb can scream), we managed to get down to the lab. That is where he is hiding under the chairs still screaming. I was nice and didn't have a picture taken of him getting blood. Then again the 2 specialists plus the blood lady were all in the room and I didn't want to seem heartless. One of the lady's ended up holding Caleb. I sat in the chair and he ran to her and climbed in her lap. The next picture with all 4 kids was taken at the peds office. They all like to "hide" from the doctor. The last one was totally unplanned. After our really long day Caleb fell asleep in the car with his lollipop in his mouth.
After this, I promise I will get back to just one pic a day.

Day 17

Well, we had a long day today. The first pictures are from the doctors office this morning. We left the house shortly after 7am. The last picture is from a marathon team meeting. I really want to be part of a marathon team this year. Last year it was hard to keep up my motivation to run it all by myself. However, I should have known better than to take my kids...namely one of them...anywhere that late when they have to be quiet.

Day 16

Look! I am early! Everything is not always roses and smiles around here. Looks like we figured out the cause of Samantha's mood yesterday. She is home sick. This is what sick looks like in our house. Glued to the couch with a pan watching cartoons.

Day 15

The kids and I finished reading Prince Caspian today, so we pooled our allowances and went to the movies. The movie was very good, but I think I liked the book better...or at least the order of the book versus the movie. Anyway, my plan was to get a picture of all of us in our seats. We were kind of late coming in, so we couldn't do it then. After the movie as soon as the credits started rolling Marc was out of the theater. So, I had to settle for an outside pic...not including me. What you will see in the picture is Samantha in a mood. She was mad because she wanted to go to the movies, but didn't want to pay for her ticket. She dropped some of her candy, she was cold. I guess she was sitting on her legs during the movie, so she cried all the way home that her legs hurt. Guess I should have known better since they are usually asleep long before the movie was over. The other thing you will see is "the devil" LOL A place called Chocolata...I don't think I have to say more than that. I recommend fasting/running/whatever for a few days, then just getting lost in there for a while...then more running. HA

Day 14

Joshua at guitar practice. Not a great picture since I was taking it through a glass door and all the stuff on the door was reflecting onto him.

Sunday, May 18, 2008

Day 13

Today is a church day. Hannah is just starting to walk in herself. It has taken a while for me to realize I can just put her down and she can walk with us. Guess to me she will stay the baby for a while longer. Samantha held Hannah's hand all the way to her class. Hannah loves walking around church too. She just smiles and laughs the whole time.

Day 12

Caleb gets up close and personal with a cow! We were at a family reunion today and it was held on a farm. Josh and Samantha used to see cows all the time. They even got to feed them "treats", but that was all before Caleb. I think this was his first time this close to one. He thought it was pretty funny and wasn't afraid to reach out and touch it.

Friday, May 16, 2008

Day 11

Hannah's first time licking the bowl! Josh helped make the cake, so he and Hannah got the help "clean the bowl". Caleb and Samantha were outside filling holes. For some reason Samantha has decided to dig holes all over the backyard, including one under the hammock. Today they filled all those holes with water...which means I can't let Hannah out to play unless I want to follow her around. The punishment for not following directions about the water was to fill all the holes she dug, and some were pretty deep. See Hannah's Baby blog for fingerpainting part 2.

Thursday, May 15, 2008

Day 10

Samantha's turn to kick back in the hammock. Of course it won't be long before every kid in the neighborhood is playing in the backyard. It seems like as soon as they step foot outside, the knocks on the door start. Good thing or bad thing? Of course I don't particularly like it when little boys come over to play with her...sigh.

Wednesday, May 14, 2008

Day 9

Josh said I can't put just one picture today. He likes one of him playing with his new toys that he got for his birthday from Grandpa and Mimi. He is having his Jack Sparrow action figure shoot and stab his remote control tarantula. The other pictures are of Hannah on the swing. He likes the one of our neighbor pushing Hannah. Hannah is laughing. I like the one of Hannah where I think she kind of looks like me, so you get three pictures today.

Tuesday, May 13, 2008

Day 8

Today was grocery shopping day. Oh the joy! LOL Really, need I say more about grocery shopping for 6 people? Don't they look cute together though? Caleb followed Marc around the store today, nice change for me. ;)

Monday, May 12, 2008

Day 7

Well, the best laid plans.... I had my plan of when and where to take today's picture, but another sick kid had a different plan for the day. I got a good picture anyway. Hannah decided she wanted to sit next to Caleb, so she climbed on the couch next to him. This is a rare thing for her to be so close to him. She loves him, but he is a boy; rough and never leaves her alone. As soon as the picture was taken she jumped off the couch.

Day 6

Happy Mother's Day! Here is my Miss Samantha before church today. Isn't she beautiful?

I know today is a day to honor mother's, but my heart aches for my friends who want to have kids. Who have been trying for so long...some as long as 10 years. My desire if for you to get to hold your baby someday. Today my prayers are with these strong women who display an amazing amount of strength and faith. I love you guys.

Day 5

Today was pretty much a typical Saturday. Josh has had some seeds he has been itching to plant. A big bag of miracle grow potting soil got left in the driveway and my wonderful husband ran over it everyday, instead of moving it. Needless to say, we had soil all over the driveway. We managed to get most of it up, but it wasn't enough. Josh likes doing this kind of stuff with Meema, but she had a really busy week and was just wiped out. Since Marc decided he wanted to plant with Josh, I figured I better get out there and help him. I also didn't want Meema to see what happened to the soil she had bought. After many hours in the heat and 3 showers later for me, it is done. LOL We have tomatoes, rosemary, basil, oregano, watermelon, squash, pumpkin, and corn. I really hope some of them grow. Josh was hesitant about doing all this with me because I do NOT have a green thumb. He also has been concerned about some bugs on the plants he planted last year, so he had to take care of those too.

Day 4

This is just too funny. I had planned on taking the camera to the bank, since that is one of our every payday activities. I had to go to the drug store before the bank. It is a usual stop too. I have lots of pics from the drug store of Hannah and Caleb running around and playing. Funny thing is I was trying out the color options on the camera while sitting at a red light and took this picture. When I saw it real size on the computer I just fell in love. THIS is how they spend a lot of time. Sure we go places and they get to do things, but here they are just waiting to see where we were going to go. Hannah looks so cute in the mirror hugging her little dog.

Day 3

So let me clarify so I don't get flamed! This is Caleb and me. Yes, we are in the car. Caleb LOVES to sit on my lap. We do NOT do this when driving. We were sitting in the Starbucks line. If your Starbucks is like mine, it doesn't move. Caleb always "drives" through the line. He is still in a carseat; in fact, he is still in a 5 pt harness and will be for many years. His seat harnesses up to forever! It is either 80 or 100 lbs. As you can see, he has fun. He gets to push buttons, play with the a/c and windows and turn on the wipers. I have to be careful though because if I am not paying attention he will honk the horn....not a good thing in the drive through line. ;) This is one of the highlights of Caleb's days. Let me also say that Caleb is buckled back up in his carseat before we leave the parking lot!

Day 2

Woohoo, it is early and I already have my day 2 photo. I am proud of myself. I am still trying to figure out the color thing on the camera or how I can edit later. The pic with me in it was not supposed to be in color, but oh well. These are from muffins with mom at the school. Josh worked really hard to convince me he felt well, but I am not so sure after looking at the picture. Guess I will wait by the phone for the phone call from the school. I am sure it will come soon.

Day 1

Gosh, this is going to be hard! How do I make up my mind? How about I pick my 3 favorites. I will get better at this and just picking 1 picture. LOL
These were taken at Texas Children's Clinic. Josh had an appointment. Hannah had the rare out of her stroller moment. She was all over the place and couldn't decide what she wanted to do. She was running from place to place just checking things out. Hannah climbed up on the bench to get a closer look at the fish. She kept saying and signing "fish", it was too cute!
Josh was kicking back watching one of the Harry Potter movies on the tv. It was a late appointment, so we were the only ones in the waiting room.
This last picture was taken in a different area of the waiting room. There were probably 30 of these tubes. They each had different things in them and they could spin around. Both kids thought they were cool. Hannah followed Josh around like a shadow doing everything he was doing. He spun one of the bottom ones with his foot, so she tried to do it also. Josh showed her things that were in the tubes. He is such a good big brother.

Project 365

I heard about this on the radio today and thought it might be a good idea. The deal is to take a picture of yourself every single day. That way you can have a story for every day and not feel as if life...or the year has just passed you by. Now, it will not just be pictures of me...I don't find myself that interesting. I think part of the project is to change those thoughts. I just can't see myself taking my own picture daily. I will take pics of all of us and make sure I include myself. My goal is to take a daily picture. I might have to get out my old camera and an older memory card just so I can carry my camera with me. That way we get get a pic of daily life and activities. I am curious how this will turn out. I hope I can commit and remember to take the daily picture.
