Day 914

Some of Caleb's loot. He ended up with 3 of these big butterfingers!

Day 913

Happy Halloween! Josh was Elvis. Caleb was a Ghostbuster. Samantha was a schoolgirl witch. Hannah was Sleeping Beauty. We went over to dad and Janie's this year. The kids always LOVE going there for Halloween. We all went around their street. Then Hannah and I went back to the house, while Marc took the big kids all over the neighborhood. They came back with tons of candy. I was surprised, because they came back with BIG candy bars...a lot of them. They had a blast!

I threw together a doctor outfit from things I had around the house.

Day 908

October 26 and my family is swimming! Sure they are crazy, BUT the water was not cold! It has been that hot!

Day 907

Happy 13th Anniversary! Marc came home with these!

Today I spent some time playing with my camera. I discovered some new pretty cool things about it. I even managed to turn those beautiful red roses yellow in a photo! Here are a few of the other fun photos.
My intention with this one was to get Samantha's blue eyes. They didn't come out right though.

Day 906

No photo today, so another somewhat oldie. This is Caleb on his 3rd birthday! Why is he not wearing any clothes??? I don't know! I think it was because his skin was very irritated. Hard to believe he was that small. Then again...I can't believe how THICK that boy has always been! Time flies! Hannah is older than that now.

Day 903

Thursday, October 21-

Soccer practice...This is what you get when the "wild child" is down sick. He was out of it the whole time. Hannah undisturbed by  her fun-loving brother slept the whole time.

Day 899

Day 2 at the family reunion-
There will be more photos and a story in the other blog later. If you read about the stripe photo challenge already, I want you to notice the amount of striped shirts at the family reunion...from BOTH days. It really is funny! The pictures from the Falls on the Brazos will also be in the other blog later.

This is my brother Donnie
Caleb spent a lot of time riding this bike.
We spent a lot of time playing football too.
Carson had fun with the chalk.
I was worried about Samantha's hair getting caught in the wheels...among other things.
Baby girl LOVES to swing!
The teenagers spent a lot of time hanging out in and around the tree.
I have NO idea what was so funny!
I don't know how this girl can get so dirty!
Donnie and James
A group of people...I don't know all of them.
I like this photo of Jackson
She was trying to hide from the camera.

Samantha won some silly string AND a snuggie in the drawing. She was happy...can you tell?
Hannah won the princess set. She was beyond thrilled!

Day 898

Day 1 at the family reunion-

We arrived around the same time we do every year. I was surprised to see that so many people were there already. Usually people show up throughout the day, but everyone was here BEFORE lunch!

Uncle JC got in about 30 seconds of snuggle time with Hannah. I love Uncle JC!

Samantha wasted no time leaving her mark in chalk!
She hasn't figured out the art of eating and driving yet.
He is the big guy-HA! There are some teenage girls that are a few years older than him. Then there is Josh out there all alone. There are a TON of kids younger than him though.
I was originally going to use this photo for The Stripe Challenge, but decided against it. You should check out the stripe challenge. As for the ball...I spent hours over the course of 2 days pitching to kids. It was fun. One of the bigger kids quit after hitting a line drive at my head. I quickly hit the ground to avoid the ball, and he felt bad. It was ok though. I used the squishy ball for the big kids just for that reason! The little kids got to hit the REAL balls.
Marc chilling at Uncle Buster's watching some sort of sport on tv. I don't remember if it was baseball or football.
This was Caleb trying to tell the kids how to play ball. I remember him saying quite a few times, "I play baseball, just listen to me and do what I tell you to."
I thought this was kind of cool, but I don't see these often. This was across the street from the grounds where we were. While driving later we came across a tractor on steroids! We were on a narrow country road blindly following the GPS to get food. We see this thing coming at us, it is obviously a WIDE LOAD. For the life of us we couldn't figure out what it was. Once it got closer we were just dumbstruck! It was a tractor that took up a lane and a half of this little road. It had all of its blades up, so it had a blade mohawk. It was a sight! I wish I would have gotten a picture, but I was driving.
I took this because her eyes are just so beautiful! I was far away, so she didn't know I was taking her picture. She was watching something. I think the boys were playing football and she was upset because she wanted to play soccer.

Day 893

I guess I was too picture crazy over the weekend. I forgot to take a picture on Monday. I have too many things going on (I already burned my first batch of cookies)  to find one to scan, so I searched my computer. I found this picture of Caleb from April 2007. It just made me laugh. He is such a cute goofball. Josh played for the Mets that year. The Astros cap he has on his head is actually one of those plastic bowls that you get ice cream in at the stadium. The picture before this one on my computer is Hannah wearing that hat. It was too big for her...remember, she was only a few months old. I think I am going to add it too. :)
This is the SAME hat!
I noticed in this one that Hannah's eyes weren't brown yet.

Day 892

Sunday the kids choir sang in all 3 church services. Josh is no longer in High 5, because he is in 6th grade. Caleb is now in the same group as Samantha, because he is in 1st grade. In this photo you can see Caleb being goofy. He is imitating Stephen (the guy with the mic talking). Caleb really left me speechless, AND in tears after the 2nd service. If you have seen Caleb sing in church, or videos from the past, you know he is just there. He sings and does the motions with almost no emotion. That was the case during the 9:30 am service. At 11:00 something changed. He was dancing and making faces, AND singing. Those of us near him were laughing, and I mean laughing hard! I had tears. I am a helper, so I didn't have a camera with me. When it was time for the 6:30 service, I shoved my phone in my pocket...just in case he had another crazy moment. He did! It wasn't quite like the first, and it wasn't quite as funny as when you see him do it for the first time. It was still humorous though. I took a video with my phone. You can see I don't have the best angle, but Caleb is really goofing it up. Samantha heard about his antics, and you can see her look down at him occasionally. Between the songs he bows and says, "Thank you, Thank you very much." Before watching the video, you will need to pause the playlist music on the right side.

Day 886

Today was another birthday celebration for Caleb, BUT I just had to include this picture of Hannah. That is a new shirt that I got for about $2 at Children's Place. I love it...Samantha isn't very fond of it though! It says, "Blame it on my SISTER (I'm innocent)."
Tonight we had dinner with Grandpa and Mimi at Cafe Adobe for Caleb's birthday...Part 3!  Caleb LOVES the cheese, and since I rarely let him eat any, he ate too much!

They got Caleb a new baseball glove! He really loves it! I will be spending the next soccer practice helping him break it in. (In case that doesn't make sense to you...Samantha has soccer practice. During practice Caleb and I play baseball, while Josh and I play football. Yes, I am a tired mom when it is over!)
If you remember from Part 1 or Part 2, Caleb doesn't like us singing Happy Birthday. This photo is his reaction at dinner tonight! I LOVE It!
AND just so it doesn't look like the blog is all about Caleb...here is a photo of my beautiful Samantha!
and Hannah
and Mister Josh, who kept hiding behind Marc, so I wouldn't take his picture.
