Day 828

Last week was the kick-off for the adult choir at church. Tonight was the kick-off for the Gathering Singers. We had some fun and learned some new music for Sunday. I am so glad to be back!

Day 821

Tonight was the kickoff for the new year in choir. We are having a recruitment campaign again...complete with prizes! John made a hilarious video about trying to recruit people. In this photo he is standing along the main road with a sign telling people to join choir. He is also wearing headphones and dancing his sign around. What makes this funny is that EVERY Sunday there is a man standing it that exact same spot wearing headphone and flipping his sign everywhere as an ad for some apartments nearby.

I had a GREAT night and it was so nice to have my Wednesday connection again. I needed it more than I realized! AND if you are thinking about joining choir, let me know!!! I want to encourage you and bring you in....there is a contest after all!

Day 743

I really can't explain this and do it justice! Today I had choir rehearsal. It was our director's 24th birthday. We were in the middle of rehearsal when this team came barreling in. They duct taped him to a chair, hand cuffed him, put a pink crown on him, and even put an Astros jersey on him (he is a Cardinals fan). Then they had a list of 24 things about John. You really had to be there to understand how hilarious this was. For pictures of Hannah's first haircut see her blog.

Day 680

Easter is coming! YAY! Behind Christmas it is my favorite holiday! It also means choir is getting ready. This year the adult choir AND the Gathering Singers are singing. Well you know that I sing in both. Those of us that sing in both will get to wear our usual singer all black along with the other singers. The choir will get to wear the robes. Those of us that do both will be in the center of the front row....this was my view tonight while sitting!

Day 577

"Celebration" full cast rehearsal was tonight! Since I am late updating and "Celebration" has come and gone, I am not spoiling anything!!!! During one of our songs Santa comes down from the balcony in a sleigh. You can see the sleigh hovering just a little in this picture, but it is NOT Santa! Pastor Gregg is sitting in the sleigh! LOL Too funny!

Day 556

Christmas is in the air!!!! This is half of the Hi5 kids choir. The other half is on the other side of the stage. They are learning where their places are and getting ready for the Christmas performance. It is going to be GREAT and the tickets for all 3 shows are nearly sold out! Those are some brave kids though!!! I walked my group up there and got them in their places. Then I started getting woozy and was shaking all over. I had to get off of there. I am just fine in the choir loft which is just too the left in this photo...you can see some of the chairs, but up on this wing---FORGET IT!!!! Hannah has it made!!! She was outside playing and decided to take a break for a few minutes and just chill out.

Day 456

Tonight was the kick-off for the new year for Choir and Orchestra. It was such a fun night! We even have a new logo, it is on the backside of the card I took a picture of...sorry. It is pretty neat. Anyway, the goal is to get 200 people in choir and orchestra in the next 6 weeks. There were 171 in choir last night. There is a contest with prizes for the member who recruits the most people. The grand prize is a trip to NYC to see the Christmas Spectacular. Anyway...if you are interested in joining let me know and I can hook you up!
