Day 558

Today Hannah and I did some shopping. They already have the tree up at Market Street. We came out of Baby Gap and she saw it. She just said "WOW!!!!!" It is one really big tree!

Friday

Day 557

Tonight was "Nachos and Numbers" at the elementary school. The kids went and played math and number games for tickets. After they had enough tickets they were able to buy nachos with the tickets. A very cool idea, despite my dislike of crowds.
Thursday

Day 552

Today Samantha had her last soccer game. It was fun and she came sooooo close to scoring. The team lost their very first game, but went undefeated the rest of the season. Totally awesome!!!!! After the last game they had a silly string battle. LOL The team is wanting to play together in the spring and Samantha really really wants to play, but the boys are going to be in baseball. Any suggestions on how this mom could be in 3 places at once...if needed....
Saturday

Day 556

Christmas is in the air!!!! This is half of the Hi5 kids choir. The other half is on the other side of the stage. They are learning where their places are and getting ready for the Christmas performance. It is going to be GREAT and the tickets for all 3 shows are nearly sold out! Those are some brave kids though!!! I walked my group up there and got them in their places. Then I started getting woozy and was shaking all over. I had to get off of there. I am just fine in the choir loft which is just too the left in this photo...you can see some of the chairs, but up on this wing---FORGET IT!!!! Hannah has it made!!! She was outside playing and decided to take a break for a few minutes and just chill out.

Wednesday

Day 555

Love it or hate it???? As a driver I absolutely HATE these signs, especially at the intersections with a crazy short green light followed by a forever red light...this is one of those intersections. Let me give you a different perspective though. As a runner I LOVE these signs!!! This also happens to be an intersection I frequently cross while running. Earlier this year it was horrible! I would say about twice a week I would nearly be hit by a car that would decide to speed through the light. Let me just say I usually err on the side of caution. I look at the cross walk sign, the lights, AND the cars before I decide to step out into the street and I was still nearly run over... ridiculous!!! I got to where I would wait until I didn't see any cars or all 3 lanes had an already stopped car before I crossed. Then these signs went up along with the cameras and my world changed!!!! Sure as a driver I now try to avoid this intersection during rush hour, but as a runner I am in heaven!!!! I could run on a yellow light if I wanted to...I am still cautious, so I don't! I am wishing all my intersections had these cameras...ok don't shoot me! LOL Speaking of running and intersections...I miss 4-way stop signs. One street I run on and across (several times) replaced all the 4-way stop signs with red lights. It messes with the groove of my run to have to stop all the time...for a while. 90% of the people at the stop signs will just wave you on, but at the red lights...UGH. It is funny, you can always tell who the runners and walkers are among the drivers you pass. The ones who use the trails will stop and let you pass. The non-users will speed to an intersection to beat you there. Seriously....just so they don't have to wait for you to cross the street. It is not like I am going to slowly stroll across the street in front of you! LOL Sometimes at the end of a long run I am more than happy to slow down to let you pass in front of me! Enough of my ramblings...any opinions????

Day 554

Orange hands....not sure why though. This morning Josh, Samantha, and I all woke up with orange stained hands. It does not wash off...we are confused! Josh's was the darkest and this photo was taken at the end of the day. This morning it looked like we poured iodine on his hands.
Monday

Day 553

Sunday I made Chicken Tortilla soup. I knew Hannah would turn her nose up...and she did. I gave her a tortilla and she bit a hole out of the middle and wore it like a ring.
Sunday

Day 551

Friday the 13th....nothing bad happened to us! The boys went to see 2012, so the girls and I went and hung out at the mall. We went to the Apple store and made a few funny videos with the new Nano's. We had some dinner. We looked at a bunch of singing animals and just cracked up! We also had to stop at the Disney Store. You have to know a certain princess was not going to let me walk by without going in! Hannah looked and oooohhhhhed and aaaaaaahhhhhed. Then on our way out she saw the Princess Christmas Ornaments. She grabbed both sides of the display and gave them hugs and kisses. She is just too cute! I think Disney has us.....
Friday

Day 550

If I took a picture this day...I can't find it. :( I have got to get back into updating regularly!!!

Day 549

Today I went for a run. I know my friends are like so, what else is new? Well, with horrible headaches for nearly a week plus a baby girl with a double ear infection, it has been a while. I took off for a short run--planned on 4 miles. I got about a mile away from the Y and start encountering these signs (photo). It seemed every turn I took had one of these lovely yellow signs. I pressed on and detoured some and just ran in the street other times. Once I didn't see the sign and ended up having to run through a gigantic hole. Sometimes you just gotta laugh.....

Day 548

Hannah is such a big girl at the doctors office! She was up last night crying because her ears hurt. Turns out she had an infection in BOTH ears.
Tuesday

Day 547

The plan was to load up in the car, but the kids had other ideas. It included all 4 of them trying to do hand stands....you see the only one who had success!

Monday

Day 546

I know, not my normal picture. I forgot.....It was a wonderful Sunday though. This is a picture of our Pastor dressed as Noah. We have started a series at church on Noah called Build a What?

Day 544

Today was one of Samantha's soccer make up games. Thanks to the time change, it got dark on us. Samantha is doing awesome and has come sooooo close to scoring a goal. Her team lost the very first game, but has been on a winning streak since then.
Friday

Day 545

Just a little Saturday afternoon fun outside.

Saturday

Day 543

Today I had a rainbow for lunch....red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. Did you know every color is important? Sure we all know leafy greens are good for you, but don't forget all the other colors! My mommy brain is in full force, but it has something to do with phytochemicals and each color is different. Each color is also essential for optimal body function. If you would like me to look it up and go into further detail just let me know. :)

Day 542

Tonight at church was a pre-Thanksgiving party for the Gathering choir. It went late, so I had to bring the kids. They chowed down on some sweets. I paid for it the rest of the night.....I had some looney kids! Hannah would just stand there and laugh and laugh and laugh. I am sure you can imagine Caleb all sugared up! So thankful we don't do much sugar at home anymore...I would go over the edge!

Day 541

Today Caleb had "Back to the 50's" day to celebrate the 50th day of school. He was supposed to dress like the 50's. He and Samantha thought that meant like an old man. I of course didn't realize it until he tried to convince me that old people didn't brush their teeth. LOL Yeah, I didn't fall for that one! Anyway, we dressed Caleb up in rolled jeans, loafers, a white shirt, and tons of gel to slick back all that hair!

Day 540

Monday, Monday....what did you do to me????? I have no photo from my Monday. How about Jennifer's tip for the day---Don't wish away the week to get to the weekend! You never know what you might miss in the quest for Saturday. :)

Day 539

Today there was a pizza lunch after church to go over Christmas information for the kids choirs. My kids LOVE pizza....they only get it at church. LOL

Day 538

Halloween!!!! I had Cinderella, Harry Potter, Darth Vader and a Fairy Princess. Dad and Janie were out of town this year, so we went to the church's fall festival. It was fun!
Hannah got to ride a pony.
So did Caleb
...and Josh. Samantha didn't want to.
Samantha
Josh did this jumping thing
The boys did the climbing wall
Josh volunteered for a game and had marshmallows thrown at him.
Caleb was a PRO at the dunking booth.
Hannah got her face painted.
She also danced with her daddy.
It was a fun night....I even have some videos, but those will come later. I will probably put them in Hannah's blog.

Day 537

This is Joshua! It was crazy hair day at school and well....he doesn't really have any hair. He borrowed Samantha's Hannah Montana wig. That hair drove him nuts. He couldn't understand how we could stand it touching our faces. He wanted to know how nuts we got on bad hair days and was floored to learn that we have to brush our hair several times a day! I don't think he will ever put on another wig again!!!! LOL

Day 536

I stopped into the chiropractor for an adjustment this morning. Hannah is a trip! She will run to the table and climb up and just wait for her turn!

Day 535

Tonight was Mexican food night at church. We love Mexican food....just not what they serve at church. We stopped at Red Robin for dinner before driving into church. Here is a picture of my beautiful girls!
