Day 899

Day 2 at the family reunion-
There will be more photos and a story in the other blog later. If you read about the stripe photo challenge already, I want you to notice the amount of striped shirts at the family reunion...from BOTH days. It really is funny! The pictures from the Falls on the Brazos will also be in the other blog later.

This is my brother Donnie
Caleb spent a lot of time riding this bike.
We spent a lot of time playing football too.
Carson had fun with the chalk.
I was worried about Samantha's hair getting caught in the wheels...among other things.
Baby girl LOVES to swing!
The teenagers spent a lot of time hanging out in and around the tree.
I have NO idea what was so funny!
I don't know how this girl can get so dirty!
Donnie and James
A group of people...I don't know all of them.
I like this photo of Jackson
She was trying to hide from the camera.

Samantha won some silly string AND a snuggie in the drawing. She was happy...can you tell?
Hannah won the princess set. She was beyond thrilled!

Day 898

Day 1 at the family reunion-

We arrived around the same time we do every year. I was surprised to see that so many people were there already. Usually people show up throughout the day, but everyone was here BEFORE lunch!

Uncle JC got in about 30 seconds of snuggle time with Hannah. I love Uncle JC!

Samantha wasted no time leaving her mark in chalk!
She hasn't figured out the art of eating and driving yet.
He is the big guy-HA! There are some teenage girls that are a few years older than him. Then there is Josh out there all alone. There are a TON of kids younger than him though.
I was originally going to use this photo for The Stripe Challenge, but decided against it. You should check out the stripe challenge. As for the ball...I spent hours over the course of 2 days pitching to kids. It was fun. One of the bigger kids quit after hitting a line drive at my head. I quickly hit the ground to avoid the ball, and he felt bad. It was ok though. I used the squishy ball for the big kids just for that reason! The little kids got to hit the REAL balls.
Marc chilling at Uncle Buster's watching some sort of sport on tv. I don't remember if it was baseball or football.
This was Caleb trying to tell the kids how to play ball. I remember him saying quite a few times, "I play baseball, just listen to me and do what I tell you to."
I thought this was kind of cool, but I don't see these often. This was across the street from the grounds where we were. While driving later we came across a tractor on steroids! We were on a narrow country road blindly following the GPS to get food. We see this thing coming at us, it is obviously a WIDE LOAD. For the life of us we couldn't figure out what it was. Once it got closer we were just dumbstruck! It was a tractor that took up a lane and a half of this little road. It had all of its blades up, so it had a blade mohawk. It was a sight! I wish I would have gotten a picture, but I was driving.
I took this because her eyes are just so beautiful! I was far away, so she didn't know I was taking her picture. She was watching something. I think the boys were playing football and she was upset because she wanted to play soccer.

Day 725

Today we had a family reunion. The last one we had for this part of the family was in 2008. It was fun and a nice cool day...better than the hot humid days we had the whole week leading up to the event. This time it was at a park. There was a playground, indoor area, outdoor tables, basketball courts, and baseball field. I am sure you know where my kids went! Here are some photos. :) The rest are in an album on facebook.

Hannah in the dugout.
This play structure was Hannah's "castle" and she was the princess!
Dad threw some pitches for everyone to hit.
Kids on a rocket....
Janie missed....
