Day 427

Sea World--Day 1

Getting here took a little -- a lot longer than expected, thanks to a never ending downpour. We finally made it to Sea World, packed our cooler full of water, and put on the sunblock. We stopped at our favorite show first--Viva!

Later Caleb, Hannah and I spent some time waiting on Marc, Josh, and Samantha to ride some rides. Caleb sits in the stroller under the umbrella keeping cool. 
There is Marc in line. 
We have some snacks while waiting for the Ski Show to start. If you have been in the last few years, they changed the show around. It is so much fun now, more like the really old shows they used to do. 
They had some kids get up and dance during the show. Samantha got to dance with one of the cast members.

I don't mind walking around in the rain, but when the lightening started striking all around us, we took cover. See the pouring rain with the sun in the background?

We were standing in a dry spot...it just happened to be in an incline. By the time we moved I was standing in almost 3 inches of moving water!
The beautiful rainbow made it all worth it!

On to the Shamu Rocks Texas show---it is only done in the evening during the months of June and July. IMO it is much better than the normal Believe show. Why??? The Believe show spends too much time talking about "Mother Earth" and not enough focus on the whales. The night show is all about the whales...all of them! There is music and dancing and lots of tricks from the whales. 
Before the show got going, they pump up the crowd with music and dancing. They ended with a dance contest and my little shy Josh was a finalist. Then they had him and this other guy do a dance off sort of thing where they would flash him on the big screen, then this other guy. The audience got to scream to vote. Josh won!!!! Here he is after the show collecting his prize. It is the biggest stuffed Shamu I have ever seen!!! Much bigger than the picture makes it look!
Hannah crashed out!!!

Caleb was waiting for the summer night show of the Sea Lions---it got cancelled due to the storm.

Hannah keeping cool AND mad at me. She kept getting the fan stuck in her hair and was made because I told her to keep it away from her hair.
