Day 789

Today was the Sunday Houston Project kick off! I already blogged about Houston Project some HERE!Anyway, we get to kick off the week by all 1400 participants wearing their Houston Project shirts to church. Here are 3 of the kids before church. If you remember, we sent Samantha off to camp.
Samantha arrived back at church in time for the late service, but my baby girl was TIRED!!!! We got to eat and change before going to our church site. Once there we set up for the carnival and went over our jobs. Samantha just couldn't handle it. LOL
This is the site churches air conditioning! Hannah has the right idea!!!!

Day 788

When we left for vacation this tree was very much alive and healthy...at least it looked that way. When we got home it was dead...we think it might have been struck by lightening. Yesterday this tree had bark on it....today, it is in a pile on the ground. It you touch this tree a substance like ash flies up.

This photo is where the bark used to be.

This is one of the piles of bark on the ground.

Day 787

Today we dropped Samantha off at church for 3rd grade camp. It was kind of hard for me because Samantha has never gone away from home. I did my best to smile because I wanted her to not worry about me missing her. Here is a photo of her hugging her sissy bye. Hannah was very vocal about not wanting her sissy to go away.
Here is a picture with her good friend...can you tell how happy they were???

Day 786

This is just awesome!!! I uploaded this photo to facebook and asked for a funny caption about it. I got some funny replies....

---Girls night out! (plus Ken)
---What a cute picture!!!
---They're all packed to head out to see Eclipse! Just a teenie cutout of Edward is needed...lol
---Road trip!
---Looks like it is straight out of "Toy Story"!! :)
---From my daughter "Who invited the brunette!?"
---Awesome!!!! I am wondering what is up with the blonde hanging out head first.
---She had 1 too many juice boxes?
---I thought it was Lindsay Lohan...

Day 785

I feel like this is a boring picture. LOL Here are my 4 luvbugs waiting for swimming lessons to start.

This one I actually find funny! It obviously looks like Hannah is enjoying music or a movie, BUT when I took this the car was not even on!

Day 784

I know somewhere in some of the last posts I have mentioned rain. Well, it is raining again! I took this picture because despite me driving in a downpour you can see the beautiful bright sun setting...sorry I couldn't get a better picture, BUT I was driving!!! Speaking of driving, would you like to know where I was coming from? If not, too bad cause I am going to tell you anyway. I was in my high school choir. I don't have this beautiful voice, but I do love to sing---I can blend well. LOL Anyway, my high school choral director has started the Alumni Family Choir. It has been LOTS of fun. Check out the link and come.

Day 783

Next busy week! Swimming lessons for all 4 kids started this morning. In this picture Hannah is standing on the edge of the pool waiting to jump in...the second from the front. Caleb is the next group along the wall. Samantha and Josh are in the next group after that. They might be in the photo...or not. They may have been in the deep end of the pool.

Day 782

After many years of me not allowing any kind of parties at the house, Marc talked me into a July 4th party. I won't go into the main reasons, but things always seemed to get a little out of hand. Marc invited 3 friends from work and their families. It was actually a very nice evening! We grilled hot dogs and hamburgers. The kids swam and we did fireworks.

In this picture Marc's friend is lighting something. I am thinking it was a tank....

I kept trying to get a picture of Caleb and another little boy running like mad with their sparklers....this was the best I could get. Caleb in motion. In reality it is probably a perfect Caleb shot because he is always in motion!
Here is a partial group shot...it was another attempt at Caleb. He can be seen way in the background running around.
The kids! Hannah was sleeping. She was in a mood and announced early on she wanted to go to bed. She did!
The boys and sparklers.
He doesn't look like he is having any fun...does he?

Day 781

This photo is NOT upside down! It is foggy because of the coldness of my house combined with the hot humidity of outside. I just couldn't get a clear pic! This was a rainbow way up in the middle of the sky. It looked like it was nearly a circle...very cool! If you click to enlarge it you will see an airplane right above the rainbow.

Day 780

The final day of VBS-
Today we were supposed to dress western. When I say we, I mean the children's division. Caleb and Hannah are still in the preschool division. We had cowboy hats on. Hannah decided she wanted a hat too, so she put on Marc's New England Patriots santa hat. I sure do LOVE that girl!!!
Every morning during Opening Assembly kids were picked to help do the Pledge to the American flag, Pledge to the Christian flag, and Pledge to the Bible. The helper picked Samantha to do the American Flag...he didn't know she was mine. LOL She also got to come on stage and help lead a few songs. I am sad this is such a bad picture, but I was standing on stage behind her and didn't think it would be appropriate to try and get a great picture.
Do you remember me mentioning rain? It is STILL raining! By the time this particular downpour stopped the water was to the grill.
