Day 210

Johnny Rockets for lunch! Caleb kept asking for his hat. When they brought it and put it on him Hannah got so excited! When I put hers on, she just kept patting it saying "hat"..."hat"

Day 209

I have two pictures today. That shouldn't shock you, but ya know, it was tough to find a picture to follow up yesterday. For those of you who follow my other blog, you know that Hannah LOVES shoes. Today she found one of Caleb's Cars slippers. What is a baby girl to do? Put it on of course...then go in search of the other one. She did not find it...then again it doesn't really match. The one she has on is Tow Mater, the other is Lightening McQueen. The other picture is of Hannah wearing a pair of Caleb's old pj's. Read the shirt! You can also see Caleb's arm in the picture. Which one do you think applies to each child? LOL

Day 209

Today I made an attempt to take pictures for Christmas cards. It was really funny. First of all, it was cold. Well, when you consider it was 80* a few days ago, the 40* seems cold. Hannah wouldn't stay put. When she was still Caleb was running around. Samantha was miserable because she was cold....
Check it out!

Day 208

I have 2 pictures today. The first is of the tree being finished! I got out the bucket and divided up the ornaments. Each kid got their own, then I kind of evenly gave out the rest. I gave Caleb a few extras since he hasn't accumulated as many as Josh and Samantha.

This next picture is of Hannah watching herself and siblings on YouTube. If you have not seen Caleb singing yet (Hannah has a great spot near the end), then you are missing out. ***Just in case you are interested and have not seen the video on Facebook I will put the video here too. This is Caleb singing one of Roger Cullins songs. You can go back to day 200 to see who Roger Cullins is.

Day 207

I finally did it...well about half of it. We got the yard mostly finished. I was just trying to finish up laundry and get it out of the living room so I could rearrange stuff. The tree is up! We only put on the new ornaments that I picked up at Garden Ridge the other day. Everything else will be done tomorrow. As I am sitting here waiting for the pictures to upload. Marc asks what happened to our fiber optic "reef"...if you know Marc you totally understand this! My mom andI are cracking up!

Day 206

Happy Thanksgiving! Our day started with "Run Through the Woods". Marc wanted to run the 5 miles this year, so I stayed back with the kids. Josh, Samantha and Caleb ran the 1 mile race. I ended up running with Caleb because he got really nervous and reached out for my hand. How could I not? I had on my running shoes anyway just in case. Last year Samantha had a meltdown right before the race and Marc had to run with her. My how a year changes things! Baby girl took off and never looked back. I seriously thought we passed her and didn't see her. She finished the mile in 7:56! Caleb took off too. The first .25 mile I had a hard time keeping up with him. I was actually going to stop and let him finish it out, then he started slowing down and reached out for my hand. We caught up to Josh, then told him to get out of the way. I seriously thought we were at about 10 minutes, so when I turned the corner and saw 8 minutes I about dropped. I told Caleb it was time to go as fast as he could. He protested letting go of my hand and slowed a little when I ran off (parents aren't supposed to cross the finish line). Josh crossed first, BUT because he was at the front of the pack at the starting line Caleb had a better time than Josh. Caleb was only about a second away from the third place trophy! Check out my baby boys time!!! I also have a picture of everyone before the race and one of Caleb entertaining himself. More pics from today will be in facebook.

Day 205

Bah humbug, that is how I have been feeling. I think I go through this every year before Thanksgiving. A lot of it has to do with Christmas lights. Every year I say I don't care if we do lights or not. Every year Marc says he will do them. He does the roof and then kinda gets lost with the rest of the stuff. So, every year I do the rest. I really don't like doing it. I know that is horrible, but it is a pain. It is either too cold, or too warm with lots of mosquitoes and ants. Let's just say this year is not cold! Marc did attempt and decided our train wouldn't make it this year. It will probably be fine, but I sure wasn't in the mood to mess with it, so I was like "ok, whatever!" We had a rat chew through some of the wires, so we needed some more lights for the roof. We headed off to Lowe's to get some. He had in mind to also replace the train with something. I really wasn't going for this idea. I just didn't want to spend the money. Lowe's was out of most things anyway. We went over to Garden Ridge and nothing was really standing out. Then we saw a 3 tree music and light show tree set. (I looked online for it and can't give you a link...sorry) I went back and found a link through Lowe's The trees are not the same, but kind of similarHERE Last year we got an inflatable Santa that will talk and sing to you if you talk to it. It was a big hit. Kids would come down the street and talk to it all the time, so I really didn't feel like we needed anything else. We didn't see a price, so we asked. Noone knew. Finally someone went to find out. While she as gone we drug the box over to the scanner. It read $299.00...Sale price $99.99. About that time the girl came back and said $299.00. We scanned it again, still $99.00. We asked another guy. He said if it says $99 that is was it is. "Are you sure?" was our response. The package that only had 1 tree was on sale for $79 and this one had 3 trees. Anyway, we took it to the register and again asked "really?' when it rang up for $99.00. We get home and I am cursing this thing together...yes I said I, not we! An hour or so later I get it all hooked up. The directions said to not turn anything on until it was all together. Everything is plugged in and I have to reset the box to the remote and nothing happens. Then all of a sudden I jump as all the lights come on and it starts playing this really loud music. It was funny. The kids LOVE it. Hannah came out and immediately started dancing. That is a good thing because she is scared of the talking Santa. LOL She just takes off dancing, it was hilarious. I got some on video that I will try to put up another day. After listening to this and watching the kids LOVE it. I am now ready for Christmas. The kids a few houses down thought it was cool too. We let them have the train and told them what needed to be done. So our train has a new home and I bet they will have it working fine! The first picture is of Hannah and Caleb dancing. The next shows the trees and Santa. At the time of the picture the yard was not done, now I think it is.

Day 204

A late night choir rehearsal. There wasn't time to plan childcare for tonight, so my cousin Taylor came up to watch the kids. Samantha wanted Emily to come along also, so she did. We had to stop at the vending machine before leaving because everyone was really thirsty.

Day 203

The 3rd part of Josh's school project! Can you guess what it is? His original, that I wouldn't let him turn in, was a tiny piece of cardboard with a clay tee pee. In an effort to improve it and make it look like he put in some effort it dawned on me that Marc had those triangle cups at work. Now we have a village. It has a log fire in the middle, a baby in a pack, and the clay tee pee turned into a clay person. He also made some cornfields on the side.

Day 202

Another Sunday at church. Hannah ran into the library today and was hitting on or pushing all of us. Finally Samantha picked her up...it wasn't what she wanted. I think she was really trying to check pockets because Josh had some candy and she knew it. Here is my little King David....Caleb, they talked about King David today and made crowns. He made 2. He told me I got to wear the other one. Sweet rambunctious boy can melt my heart.
